- Chitarrista, produttore ed insegnante -

Sicuramente uno tra i personaggi più interessanti del panorama musicale italiano, Vince Carpentieri è principalmente un chitarrista, un didatta, ma anche un blogger appassionato di nuove tecnologie e social marketing. Napoletano purosangue, comincia la sua carriera a poco più di venti anni dopo essersi diplomato con Honor al Musicians Institute di Hollywood sotto la guida de migliori insegnanti al mondo. Forte delle sue capacità comunicative, in meno di due anni dal suo ritorno in Italia, diventa collaboratore fisso delle maggiori case editrici del settore chitarristico, lavorando come redattore, trascrittore e critico musicale. Nel 2003 realizza il suo primo video didattico per la Playgame Music, parallelamente alla sua attività editoriale approfondisce con successo la conoscenza dei linguaggi di programmazione e l’ utilizzo dei software di produzione musicale. Dal 2000 al 2005 registra chitarre per per più di 100 artisti diversi, dal rock al reggae, dall’ alternative alla musica popolare, sono gli anni della gavetta, l’unico obiettivo è quello di acquisire credibilità come professionista. La grande occasione arriva nel 2007 con gli Almamegretta, progetto a cui rimarrà legato per più di quattro anni e con cui registrerà due album. Da quel primo tour ad oggi Vince ha registrato e suonato dal vivo per: Jesus Christ Superstar, Made in Sud, Alessandro Siani, Eugenio Bennato, Clementino, Audio 2, 99 Posse, Levante, Horace Andy, Raiz, Neja, Simona Molinari, Benjamin Braxton, Double Slam e tanti altri. Nel 2006 da vita al suo blog www.vincecarpentieri.com. Il progetto nasce dalla volontà di aiutare i musicisti a sopravvivere alle ormai obsolete dinamiche del panorama musicale italiano, sfruttando al massimo le proprie capacità musicali ed imprenditoriali, nonché l’utilizzo dei nuovi mezzi di comunicazione globale. Nel 2012 auto-produce No Words il suo primo album da solista. Grazie alla mailing list del sito ed al minuzioso lavoro promozionale sui social networks, l’album vende 500 copie nei primi tre giorni dall’uscita. Grazie all’aiuto delle aziende musicali di cui è da anni product specialist ed endorser, all’ uscita dell’ album seguirà un tour di seminari e concerti che lo vedrà impegnato per tutto il 2012. Nel 2014 produce Suonare la Chitarra Funk 2.0 il primo corso di chitarra interamente online dedicato alla chitarra ritmica. Egregia fusione tra contenuti di qualità ed un’ efficace strategia di marketing online, Il corso vanta ad oggi più di 100 allievi ed è solo la prima di una serie di produzioni in programma per l’area didattica della sua attività. Dopo più di 12 anni passati a metà tra la Musica e le nuove tecnologie, con più di 1500 iscritti alla sua mailing list, un fitta rete di social networking ed una serie di prodotti editoriali collegati, Vince Carpentieri è oggi una realtà che esula dal normale stereotipo del chitarrista, un riferimento per i musicisti che cercano un’ alternativa concreta alla difficile condizione in cui sono costretti a vivere nel panorama musicale italiano.

Lorenzo Patrix Duenas is a poly-instrumentalist, singer, writer and producer. Born in Cuba and raised in the U.S.A. played and toured with the top reggae bands such as Inner Circle, legendary Buddy Miles (Jimii Hendrix drummer), italian rock artist Edoardo Bennato and other top intenational dance and pop groups. Collaborated with DSK, Barbara Tucker and as vocalist with world famous DJs Franky Knuckles, Claudio Coccoluto, Steve Silk Hurley, Pete Tong, J.Reverse aka Black Legend, L.Vega, Todd Terry. Has recorded hundreds of songs under the names of Patrix Duenas and Lorenzo Patrix Duenas. Producer and writer for Gruntroots, Chinaman Brown, O'Nee Perez, plus new and undiscovered musical talents.

At the moment on the road with Valentina Parisse, Ciro Manna Band, Hillside Power Trio and Joe Shoed & The Koolaroots.

MUSIC

Gruntroots is a 60's 70's funky/soul/blues/rock/reggae/ska mix of groove and emotions.
Started as a Patrix Duenas studio solo project, but needed a live band for the stage. Added to the line up musicians that gave a true sound to the recording.
L. P. Duenas guitar and lead voice, Alessio Bertani lead guitar, Francesco Massagli keyboards and back vocals, Andrea Spinetti drums, Silvia Toschi bass guitar, Andrea Guzzoletti trumpet and Alessandro Rizzardi saxophones.
Gruntroots got a break thanx to the tv show "Obiettivo Blues" broadcasted from Tuscany (Italy) and got a chance to be the opening act for Lou Reed at the Pistoia Blues Festival. It was a great honour!
The debut album "Grind Monkeys" will be available soon on most web stores.

Chinaman Brown - The nickname was given to L.P.Duenas by jaimaican friends because of his oriental and african background. This is the main reason for the title of the album "Back To the seed". It contains 12 songs in english and spanish language. It is the first attempt of a reggae and neo-soul album. All instruments, voices and productions are by L.P.Duenas. Recorded at home-studio and mixed by C. Sasso aka J.Reverse.

O'Nee Perez - The funkier alter ego of L.P.Duenas kicking it with a tighter electronic groove and a wilder approach to mixing rock, soul, electronic, house, rap and dub styles. As always all instruments and voices by L.P.Duenas. The album "Weapons Of Mass Destruction" contains 12 songs performed in a very unique way involving acoustic and programed instruments. It will be available on web stores soon.

L.P.Duenas movie soundtracks and videos - Patrix latest concept is getting the inspiration to do music from still images and videos. The idea is making a song from them. He has also been experimenting the role of videomaker using unconventional methods for his takes. You will find examples of these techniques on the links on Contacts page and Video page.

Gennaro Porcelli
Gennaro Porcelli is an authentic Neapolitan. Born in 1981, he has gone a long way to get where he is today: current guitarist for Edoardo Bennato and leader of the “Gennaro Porcelli & Highway 61” trio (Roberto Perrone on drums and Diego Imparato on bass guitar). Both critics and audience consider him as one of the most promising talents of blues “made in Italy”. As a matter of fact, he can boast a considerable resume: Alex Britti (2006/2007 tour), Louisiana Red, Bobby Dixon (son of the more famous Willie Dixon), Nathaniel Peterson, Kenny Neal, Abi Wallestein, Carvin Jones, Ronnie Jones, Ernesto Vitolo,Tony Esposito, Roberto Ciotti, Antonio Onorato, Rudy Rotta, Beppe Grillo, Lino Cannavacciuolo, Pier Pelù, Blue Stuff, , Maurizio Capone, Enzo Avitabile, Eugenio Bennato, Tullio De Piscopo, Morgan, Pino Scotto, “Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti”, and Caudio Baglioni, just to name a few celebrities he has played with; Hot Tuna, Eric Sardinas, Corey Harris, lil’ Ed & the Blues Imperials, Louisiana Mojo Queen, Tolo Marton, Uli John Roth, Billy Branch, Robben Ford, Renzo Arbore and many others are the renowned musicians he has shared the stage with. Moreover, he has recently performed live with Texan guitarist Buddy Whittington, the historical member of John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers.
His concerts have been defined as being powerful, meaning that they appear to run along that same Highway 61 where a number of Blues and Southern Rock styles originated. They offer a repertoire that goes from Chicago style to New Orleans style, from Austin style to Memphis style.
In 2009, he published his first CD called “Revisiting”, in which standard Blues was arranged with his own personal style. Friends, like the famous Italian musicians Edoardo Bennato, Alex Britti and Roberto Ciotti reviewed the CD.
In March 2010, Gennaro arrived to the U.S. for the first time. He was so successful that he attracted the attention of radios and newspapers, there, in the land where Blues was born.
On that occasion, he was on stage at New York’s oldest and most prestigious live music club, the “Bitter End”. There, he also played at “B. B. King’s” together with Jon Paris (Johnny Winter’s legendary bass guitarist) and Steve Holley (drummer for Paul MacCartney’s Wings). All together, Gennaro has already been on a U.S. tour three times: during his last tour, he performed at the “Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center” (Stage on Herr) with Mark Epstein (bass guitarist for Johnny Winter and Joe Bonamassa) and Michael Noll (Jason Ricci’s drummer), and now he is getting ready to start his fourth overseas tour, but this time with a noteworthy new entry: Vito Liuzzi (Johnny Winter’s current drummer) who is going to take part in the rhythmic session, along with Mark Epstein, a real guarantee.
At the end of 2010, Gennaro became endorser for “Marvit”, an Italian lute-making company and in October 2011, his guitar, a Marvit Mahat GP “Gennaro Porcelli Signature” was exhibited on the “Wall of Music” at “BarAbba” in Gallarate, alongside memorabilia belonging to world famous guitarists like Eric Clapton, Steve Hackett, Joe Satriani and many more.
2012 seems to be a promising year for the Neapolitan guitarist: last February 26th he met Johnny Winter in person, his main source of inspiration; besides being on tour across Italy, Gennaro is working on the production of his second CD.

BIOGRAFIA

Bassista contrabbassista nato a Napoli il 22 marzo 1978, sotto il segno dell'ariete, studia contrabbasso ai conservatori S.Pietro a Majella di Napoli, al G. Verdi di Milano e si diploma al D. Cimarosa di Avellino sotto la guida del maestro N. Buonomo. Vincitore del concorso bassisti, EUROBASSDAY 2006, è tra i pochi italiani ad esibirsi nel dicembre 2005 al BlueNote di New York tempio del jazz mondiale. Ha suonato in numerosi festival internazionali e non come leader (DT21 El Jam Tunisia), e come sideman 405Jazz Fest e tour della Pennsylvania (U.S.A.) Festival de la Guitarre(Tunis), TiranaJazzFestival, Lago Maggiore Jazz Festival, (che comprendeva nomi quali Wayne Shorter, Yellow Jacket, McCoy Tyner, Michel Camilo), con il chitarrista Antonio Onorato. In Jazz in Galleria si esibisce con Mike Mainieri e Steve Slagle . Nell' estate del 2003 fa parte del gruppo di Eugenio Bennato "Taranta Power" e lo segue nella lunga serie di concerti e festival in Italia ed all' estero tra cui lo "Sfinks" di Anversa (Belgio), e lo "Stimmen" in Germania. Ha pubblicato il disco da solista "70's Soundtacks" per la WideSound. Molto apprezzato dalla critica specializzata, è una riuscita fusione di funky, jazz, fusion e sound tipico degli anni settanta. Membro dell' Orchestra Sinfonica del Conservatorio di Avellino ha preso parte a numerosi spettacoli tra cui il Concerto Spirituale con Katia Ricciarelli seguendo inoltre, il corso di formazione orchestrale della fondazione Teatro S. Carlo. Partecipa a trasmissioni televisive quali "La Vita in Diretta". Con Luca Sepe, terzo classificato al Festival di Sanremo98, "Super" (Italia1), "Disney Club" (RaiUno), "Tappeto Volante" (TMC). Diego si è esibito in tutta Italia, negli USA ed in Germania, Belgio, Spagna, Francia, Tunisia, Marocco, Libano, Albania. Insegna e tiene seminari e dimostrazioni.
Ha suonato inoltre con Mike Mainieri, Steve Slagle, Fabrizio Bosso, Daniele Scannapieco, Joe Amoruso, Eddie Palermo, Pietro Condorelli, Marco Zurzolo, Eugenio Bennato, Luca Sepe, Aldo Farias, Francesco Nastro, Gianluca Brugnano.

Alessio nasce in Italia da padre italiano e madre inglese. Studia alla Lizard di Fiesole, poi con i chitarristi Alex Stornello, Giacomo Castellano, Michael Mellner, Massimo Epinot, Gianni Zei, Davide Mastrangelo, col saxofonista Andrea Coppini, e con il sound engineer Ben Frassinelli (Litifiba, Nannini, Mau Mau, Vallesi, Negrita, Moda ecc).
Alessio é chitarrista, songwriter e arrangiatore, realizza video promozionali e demo per marchi di strumenti musicali ( Sonus, Dragoon, StepMax Tremolo, Marvit, Sonum, Kemper, AMT, Grossmann ecc.). E’ in uscita il suo disco strumentale.
Scrive inoltre per la riviista “Guitar Club Magazine”.
